Last week we covered the Anatomy of the Heart. Today, I thought it best to cover the next step needed to understand the heart. Its electrical signals that induce contraction.
This process can be broken down into 5 simple steps:
1. SA node
2. AV node
3. Bundle of His
4. Bundle Branches
5. Purkinje Fibers
These 5 steps explain the signaling process which causes the atria and ventricles to contract.
