Easy 6 Ingredient Lasagna Recipe

 




Here's my 6-ingredient lasagna recipe

Ingredients:

  1. lasagna noodles (oven-ready or pre-cooked)
  2. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  3. 1 cup of ricotta
  4. 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese (you can use low-fat or regular)
  5. 1 jar (24-26 ounces) of your favorite pasta sauce
  6. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain the noodles and set them aside.

  3. 3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, ricotta and 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix well.

  4. 4. In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of pasta sauce to coat the bottom.

  5. 5. Place the lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.

  6. 6. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the noodles.

  7. 7. Add another layer of pasta sauce over the cheese mixture.

  8. 8. Repeat the layers: lasagna noodles, the cheese mixture, and more sauce.

  9. 9. Finish with the last of the lasagna noodles, a final layer of sauce, and the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.

  10. 10. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top.

  11. 11. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil, making sure it doesn't touch the cheese on top.

  12. 12. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.

  13. 13. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the lasagna is hot and bubbly, and the cheese on top is melted and slightly golden.

  14. 14. Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes before serving to allow it to set.
